KesselReiniger is an effective descaling agent for boilers.

The product is supplied in 1-liter plastic bottles.

Preparation:

• Inspection: Before starting the cleaning process, inspect the boiler for any visible damage or leaks.
• Draining: Drain the water from the boiler.
• Pre-cleaning: Rinse the boiler with water to remove loose scale and sediment.

Preparing the Solution:

• Concentration: A 2-10% solution of KesselReiniger is typically used for descaling boilers. The exact concentration depends on the degree of contamination and the type of deposits. A 2-3% solution is sufficient for light scale. For more severe scale, a 10% solution may be required (100 grams of powder per 1 liter of water; for a 6-liter boiler, you will need 600 grams of powder per 6 liters of water or a lower concentration for light contamination).
• Dissolving: Dissolve the required amount of KesselReiniger in warm water (not boiling, the temperature is usually no higher than 60-80°C). Do not use hot or boiling water, as this can lead to hydrolysis of the product and reduce its effectiveness. For heavier cleaning, the solution can be heated to 60°C.

Cleaning Process:

• Filling: Fill the boiler with the prepared KesselReiniger solution.
• Circulation: If possible, circulate the solution in the boiler using a pump for more effective cleaning.
• Time: Allow the solution to work for several hours, up to 7 hours depending on the contamination.
• Monitoring: Periodically check the cleaning process.

Completion:

• Draining: Drain the KesselReiniger solution.
• Rinsing: Thoroughly rinse the boiler with clean water until all scale residue is removed.
• Neutralization: At the end, rinse the boiler with a soda ash (sodium carbonate) solution to neutralize any remaining acid.
• Verification: Ensure the system is completely rinsed and ready for use.
• Repetition: If necessary, repeat the cleaning procedure.

Precautions:

KesselReiniger is an acid, so take precautions when working with it. Use protective gloves and goggles. Avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes. If contact occurs with skin or eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of water. Do not use KesselReiniger on galvanized, zinc, or aluminum surfaces, as this may cause damage. Make sure the boiler is made of materials compatible with acids. Store KesselReiniger in a dry place and in an airtight container. When working with acids, ensure good ventilation.

Additional Information:

KesselReiniger effectively removes scale formed by calcium and magnesium salts. The product is less aggressive towards metals than hydrochloric or sulfuric acid. KesselReiniger can also be used to remove rust and other deposits.
